Learn what each part of the bubble does after you translate.

Start with the result
The bubble keeps the selected source text beside Stickly’s current translation. Depending on the word and its context, it may also offer alternatives or a contextual explanation.

Choose the next action
Use the speaker control when pronunciation audio is available. Open the menu when you want an explanation, a saved-word action, highlight or practice controls, settings, or help. Close the bubble whenever you are ready to return to reading.
Let the sentence decide
A phrase can have more than one useful translation. Read the sentence around your selection before saving a meaning, especially when the first result feels too literal.
Understand what persists
Saving creates a vocabulary item that can reappear as a highlight and later become an inline review. The bubble is a temporary reading aid, not a separate browser bookmark.
