Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know the language already?
Start with short, simple texts if you are a beginner. As you grow, move on to articles, stories, coursework, or forums that interest you. Stickly helps with vocabulary and recall alongside your other language practice.
Where does Stickly work?
Use Stickly in Chrome on desktop or Safari on Mac, iPhone, and iPad. It works on most websites you already read, including news, blogs, coursework, and forums.
Is the vocabulary test an official CEFR test?
The free test estimates your vocabulary in an A1–C2 band. It does not assess speaking, listening, or writing, and it is not a certificate. You can take it in your browser without an extension or account and choose the language you want to answer in.
Do I need an account?
No. You can start using Stickly before signing up. Create or link a free account when you want your saved words, review progress, and preferences synced across devices.
How does spaced review work?
Stickly brings saved words back in context and asks for a quick answer when they are due. You keep reading instead of moving to a separate study screen.
Is my vocabulary private?
Your saved words belong to you. Stickly does not translate or save text unless you choose to, and you can pause its controls on a tab or website.
