Select text to translate

Translate a word when you choose it, without interrupting the page you are reading.

Choose the text

On a supported webpage, select a word or short phrase you want to understand. Stickly waits for a deliberate translation signal, so ordinary highlighting does not need to open a bubble.

Open the translation

After selecting the text, use the Stickly translate action, keyboard shortcut, or browser context-menu command available in your setup. The translation bubble opens close to the selection so you can read without leaving the page.

Keep translation deliberate

Selection translation is separate from remembered-word highlights. You can ask for a translation when you need one without turning on automatic marks across the page.

When the action is missing

Editable fields, PDF viewers, protected application surfaces, and browser-owned pages may not expose the same selection action. Try a short selection in an ordinary article, then see “Translation did not appear” if the bubble still does not open.
