Try the smallest safe checks

First note the exact surface: extension bubble, page highlight, inline quiz, Word Hub, flashcards, export, account, or Practice Studio. Reload only the affected page and confirm whether the problem repeats.

A concise checklist for collecting a reproducible support report.

Include these details

The route or feature where it happened. Browser name and version, plus operating system when relevant. Learning and translation language pair. The steps that reproduce the issue and what you expected. The exact visible error message and approximate time.

Protect private information

Send the minimum needed to reproduce the problem. Redact page text, passwords, email addresses, access tokens, personal notes, private URLs, and vocabulary that identifies you. A screenshot should show the control or error, not an entire private document.

Write a useful report

State the result: Write one sentence describing what failed. List the steps: Number the shortest path from a fresh page or route to the failure. Attach safe evidence: Add a redacted screenshot or short recording only when it clarifies the state. Say what changed: Mention whether reload, sign-in, language changes, or a setting change affected it.

If the issue involves a translation, include the language pair and a redacted description of the context rather than copying sensitive source text. Support can then ask for a safer reproduction if needed.
