Vocabulary that sticks

Learn every word you translate with automated spaced-repetition.

Are you translating the same words over and over again?

Stickly makes sure you automatically learn every single word you translate.

1. Read

Read any website in your target language.

2. Translate

Highlight unknown words and let stickly translate them.

3. Challenge

Stickly challenges you to recall words with a clever spaced-repetition timing.

Contextual translations

A "bark" can relate to a dog or a tree. Stickly considers the whole sentence and always finds the best translation for your context.

One word with many meanings

Spaced repetition while you browse

You don't need to leave your current tab to review a word. Stickly shows you a quiz whenever it's time to refresh a word you're learning.

"Really a great and unique principle to learn a language. I have been learning English continuously for more than two years now and learn English vocabulary almost every day. I only recently came across Stick.ly and can only express my enthusiasm. [...]
What totally enchanted me about Stick.ly is that after a while a mini-game is triggered in the tooltip menu where some of the letters of the translated word are simply hidden. This is really unique, because instead of just reading, you stimulate your brain to "think" and thus build up a better connection to this word in the future. [...]"

Hi, I'm Alex 👋

I created stickly because I frustrated with the current state of language learning tools. The methods to teach are usually just digital versions of printed methods, and the potential of personalised software isn't used when everyone should study the same vocabulary. I'm offering stickly for free as long as I can pay for the server bills. Consider it my art project, a way for me to learn how to build software better.
